Included in this lot we have a pair of rawhide snowshoes manufactured by Idaho Leather Company originating from the mid to late 20th century. The Idaho Leather Company, owned and operated by Ben Wetzel was known of its high quality hand crafted saddles, holsters, and other leather goods. It has since shut down due to Wetzel's death in 2013. This pair of snowshoes features solid ash construction with a lattis work of rawhide strips forming the majority of the shoe. The piece shows leather lacing and bindings that are marked "Idaho Leather Co Boise, Idaho". The pair show good condition overall with some light wear. The snowshoes measure 12 1/4" wide by 28 1/2" long.
