IRAN: Ahmad Shah, 1909-1924, AV 5 toman (14.31g), AH1334, Rabino-83, Iranian lion & sun in wreath // name & titles of the Shah within wreath, some weakness in center (as on the gold specimen illustrated by Rabino), light surface hairlines, faint mount trace at top, PCGS graded Unc, RRRR. CoinArchives records no example in gold, and just one silver trial strike that sold at Sincona Auction 33, Lot 2810 (October 2016) for $4430. The "4" in the date was recut over "2" over "1". This is an extremely rare type and the only other known example besides the piece published by Rabino.
