Howard DeMyer (American, 1907-1989) was a sculptor known for creating the bronze Potawatomi Indian statue in La Porte, Indiana, which serves as a symbol of peace between Native Americans and pioneers. He was a fourth-generation La Portean, with his great-grandfather having arrived in La Porte in 1832.
