For your consideration is a Vintage Hopi George Phillips Turquoise and Spiny Oyster Silver Adjustable Ring, circa late 20th century. George Phillips is a Hopi Silversmith and a member of the Greasewood and Roadrunner clans. George grew up in Old Orabibi, a Navajo Village in northeastern Arizona, where he learned the art of working with silver from his brothers. Phillips is one of the first artists to use pottery designs in his jewelry. Ring is stamped with a "broken arrow" and "G" hallmark. This ring features a petit point spiny oyster stone and a small turquoise cabochon, both in serrated bezel settings with silver feathers, silver braid, silver bead and a stamped design. Adjustable men's sizes from 9-10.5, 1.25"L x 1"W, collective weight is 9.7gms.
