For your bidding consideration are these four framed photographs of old Missoula, Montana. The first is an elevated view of the town with a train yard in the foreground. The train yard consists of several buildings and a water tank with seven locomotives visible. In the background are fields, buildings, houses and trees. The photo is hand-labled "Missoula, Mont. 1883. The second photo shows the Higgins Ave. bridge eight years later, 1891. The label in the mat of the photo reads "Chief Charlo's Trail of Tears/ Higgins Ave. Bridge/ October 1891." As a historical note, the photograph shows an aerial view the Salish people crossing the Missoula bridge on their way to the Flathead Reservation, having been forcibly removed from the Bitterroot Valley. The third photo shows a group of people standing outside the Montana Hotel. The printed brass label reads "Missoula Montana 1910". The fourth photo is of downtown Missoula in 1963. It appears to show tables with merchandise set up on the paved brick street with several store fronts in the background. One of the storefront signs reads "Bob Ward & Sons/ Sporting Goods/ Jewelry". On the top of the sign is a diamond with the word "Keepsake" underneath. The framed photos are all in good condition; the largest measures 16" x 14"
