For your consideration is a Helena, Montana Kessler Brewing Lorelei beer growler. The Kessler Brewing Company -- originally the Ten Mile Brewery -- was located on Helena's far west side, just west of today's' Spring Meadow Lake. It operated from 1865 to 1958. Some of the buildings are still standing. the Kessler Brewing Company was founded in 1865 by Charles Beeher. In 1868, Beeher was bought out by Luxembourg-born Nickolas Kessler, an entrepreneur who had turned from gold prospecting to trade and manufacturing. The amber bottle shows good condition and is wrapped in a Lorelei beer label. The label shows a wonderful color and depicts a woman over looking a ship with a castle in the background. The bottom of the label is marked “Draught Beer Keep Under Refrigeration.” The bottle measures 11” x 5”.
