For your consideration is this Heiser Keyston Lightenberger scabbard, circa 1950's. The scabbard shows a lovely worn patina with a rifle butt flap and wonderful design. The scabbard is unlined and the stitching is in very good condition. The scabbard is made by and carries the mark of H.H. Heiser. H.H. Heiser was a very well-known saddle and leather maker, known for the amazing quality. The Hermann H. Heiser Saddlery Company was the largest wholesale manufacturer of saddlery goods between the Missouri River and the Pacific Coast, supplying some of the premiere sporting goods retailers worldwide. Through the use of Cabinet Card Advertising and later the use of Mail Order Catalogs, The Hermann H. Heiser Company became known not only nationwide but worldwide in the early part of the 1900s. The company was opened in 1874 and sold in 1950, making this scabbard at least 70 years old. The condition of this rifle scabbard is good, showing no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this rifle scabbard are 9" x 41".
