This photograph provides a view of Glenbrook Bay. The area was first used by the Washoe people as a campground, and it provided fish and berries. In the 1870s, the area had over 400 residents who used the area primarily for the lumber industry. The photographer is identified as Carlton Watkins of San Francisco. The matte measures 6.5" x 4.20 while the photograph measures 6.10" x 3.70" The matte has some wear including stains and rough corners. The photograph also has some stains and marks.
