The ring features a electronically tested 14k white gold ladies cast ring construction with pave shoulders and a halo decoration with a wonderfully and professionally constructed lattice under gallery with a 'Orianne' hallmark and a bright finish. The center stone features a prong set cushion modified brilliant cut natural tanzanite stone with measurements of 13.52mm x 10.98mm x 5.71mm and shows type I eye clean clarity with medium to moderately strong violet blue color and a (GIA VB) good cut grade and transmits light with no distortion. The stone was graded loose before setting in a GIA laboratory. The halo design and pave shoulders are profusely decorated with a total of 34 prong set brilliant round diamonds measuring 2.20 - 2.00mm x 1.26mm and I-1 to I-2 clarity and I - K color gradient. Tanzanite is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. It was originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company, who named the stone Tanzanite. This example is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles).
