High-quality black leather folder given by President Roosevelt as a Christmas gift in 1942, embossed in gold with a presentation inscription on the front, “Christmas, 1942, from F. D. R.” The folder measures 3 x 6.75 and features two inside pockets. Housed inside is a U.S. War Savings Bonds booklet with two affixed 25-cents war saving stamps.

Accompanied by an undated Christmas Card with engravings of the White House on both the outside and inside, and also a match book (half full) titled “The President’s House” in gold letters on white backing. The matches were "Union Made A.F.L. local No. 18734," which is stamped in gold lettering on the bottom fold. In very good to fine condition, with some soiling and mounting abrasions to the back of the matchbook.
