Poster of Richard Florsheim recent works at Garelick 's Gallery in 1970. Exhibition poster of lithographs created between 1946 and 1972, he was a prominent twentieth century American printmaker, painter, sculptor, educator and writer. Florsheim gained international recognition in the late 1930s when he began exhibiting his art at the Salon des Refuses in Paris, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Los Angeles County Museum and the San Francisco Museum of Art. During the following years, his original prints and paintings were shown at many public galleries in the United States and in Europe. Florsheim was a full member of the American Graphic Artists, the Audubon Artists, the Artists Equity Association and the prestigious National Academy of Design. During his career, he received the Art Institute of Chicago Award (1946), the Pennell Fund Award (1950) and the Library of Congress Award (1956). His original lithographs and paintings are included in several public museums in the United States, Britain, France and Germany. The Poster is a rare Poster signed and stamped at the bottom left side of the poster it was a advertisement for Richard Gallery on woodward Avenue in Birmingham, Mi . Framed with lovely wood black frame with a touch of gold at a size of 18" X 31". The frame works with the image wonderfully.
