46. Edison, Thomas A. Autograph note signed ("Edison"), written on the transcription of a poem written by a young girl to President Theodore Roosevelt. Fine condition. Thomas Edison is impressed with a young girl's poem honoring the life of Roosevelt. Beneath the poem, one of Edison's associates, William H. Meadowcroft, writes a note to Edison, "Mr Edison, Isn't this fine for a little girl poet, 13 years old. She is the granddaughter of our good friend F.A. Whiting, the enthusiastic disc phono fan'. Meadowcroft". Edison writes vertically in pencil along the left edge: April 1919 Some Girl! It's in the blood capacity for high mental action accompanies the germ plasm although it is denied. Edison.
