This lot includes a fine raccoon fur coat, professionally crafted by Gordon & Ferguson in St. Paul Minnesota. The overcoat has shows long length, two waist pockets, and large ambidextrous toggle and loop closures. The coat has two interior tags, first showing the Gordon & Fergusons makers mark and reads "Gordon & Ferguson - St. Paul". The other simply reads "The Gordon Coat". The coat is in good condition overall, it does show some shedding towards the bottom edge. The coat measures overall 54 3/4" long, and 53" wide from sleeve to sleeve. The coat measures 22" wide from the seam of each shoulder, and 21" wide across the chest underneath each armpit. This style of long heavy ornate fur coat were used on the stage coaches and early vehicles. Truly a unique piece.
