Offered in this lot we have a pair of Hamilton and Hampden pocket watches originating from the early 20th century. Both of the watches are beautifully crafted with 17 jewel clockwork and gold or gold fill cases manufactured by Philadelphia Watch Case Co.. The first of the watches is marked across the front "Hamilton True Time" with a hour and minute clock face and a separate one of seconds. The back of the piece displays the etched image of a bird on a shield perch with floral patterns surrounding the perch. The interior of the watch is marked "Hamilton Watch Co. Lancaster, PA 17 Jewels - Made In U.S.A. - Adjusted" with the serial number. The second piece is marked "Hampden" with two clock faces and a pin attached to the top. The back is marked with a floral pattern with the interior of the piece marked "17 Jewels - The hour Houndred Canton O.U.S.A" along with the serial number. The watches show good condition overall with the Hampden not currently functional. Metal not tested. The first watch shows a diameter of 2" by 1/2" thick, the second piece shows a diameter of 1 1/4" by 3/8" thick.
