Desirable Swiss Double Action Military Revolver with Rare Combination Shoulder Stock/Holster

Estimate: $4500 - 7000
Introduced in 1882, this revolver has extensive Swiss Cross proofs and matching full numbers on the barrel, frame and cylinder, with matching partial numbers on most of the parts. It has blade and notch sights, checkered hammer, and smooth trigger. The checkered hard rubber grips are the early style with a circled Swiss Cross on the left panel. A lanyard swivel is mounted on the buttplate, which is extended and fitted with a slot for a shoulder stock. A black leather flap holster which doubles as a wire frame shoulder stock is included with this revolver.

Gauge: 7.5mm

Condition: Very fine as arsenal refurbished. The revolver retains 95% of the blue finish, showing some bright edge wear and scattered handling marks, with a brown and gray patina forming on the butt and grip straps. A strong straw colored finish is present on the hammer, loading gate and trigger, with the cylinder pin and ejector rod gray with spotting. The grips are also very fine, with an aged brown color forming overall and some light pressure dents. The holster shows heavy cracking on the leather with some tearing. Mechanically excellent.
