Very fine. The rifle is all original and retains 80% plus of the original blue finish. Nearly all of the blue is present on the barrel and magazine. About 80% of the thin blue finish is present on the forend cap. The receiver has about 85% of the blue finish intact. The top and sides of the receiver and the lower tang retain most of the high polish blue finish. Patches of the blue finish have lifted from the bolt and the blue on the underside of the receiver is thin and shows light-moderate handling wear. The loading gate has a silver patina. The hammer retains most of the muted case colors. Most of the casehardened finish is present on the sides of the lever; the bottom has a silver patina. The steel shotgun buttplate has a silver-gray patina. The stock and forearm are in excellent condition and retain nearly all of the high polish piano finish. Wear is limited to a few shallow handling marks. The checkering on the stock and forearm is sharp. The barrel and receiver markings are crisp. The action is tight and the rifle appears to be in excellent mechanical condition. This is a very fine example of a Deluxe Winchester Model 1886 33 W.C.F. Lightweight rifle.
