This is an example of a desirable 1900 Swiss Contract Luger of which an estimated 2,000 commercial and 3,000 military pistols were produced. These pistols have the early features such as the dished toggles with toggle lock, the flat/recessed breech bolt, no stock lug, grip safety, flat main springs, and fast taper barrel that is 4 3/4" long. This pistol also has fixed blade and "V" notch sights, standard Swiss cross in sunburst on the chamber, and "DWM" scroll toggle marking. Crown/B, crown/U, crown/G proofs are present with the bore marking on the barrel underside. Crown/B and crown/U proofs are present on the left barrel extension. Full serial number on the front of the frame and barrel underside, with the partial serial number (68) on the takedown latch, side plate, and toggle link. Blue finish with straw colored small parts. Fitted with checkered walnut grips stamped. With correct style nickel plated unmarked magazine with wood base. Complete with a brown leather holster stamped "G. LEHMANN / SATTLER / BERN" over "10" on the back.
BBL: 4 3/4 inch round

Gauge: 7.65 mm Luger Auto
Finish: blue
Grips: walnut
Serial Number: 17068
Condition: Very fine as armory style refurbished. The pistol retains 90% slightly faded arsenal blue finish with some scattered minor edge wear and some mild to minor holster type wear on the left side of the barrel. There is some very scattered pin point pitting on the bottom edge of side plate. The small parts retain 70% original straw color. There is a small area of minor wear on the right panel, otherwise the grips are excellent with a few minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The holster is good with extensive age cracking on the flap and some minor handling marks and scuffs with some missing stitching.
