DEMETRE CHIPARUS (1886-1947) French school. "The Clown's Dream". A large brown patinated and cold painted bronze figure of a clown playing a mandolin. With fine carved Carrara marble face and hands. Signed and with GAZAN, LN & JL Paris foundry mark on naturalistic bronze base. With circular veined grey marble plynth. 30" high. Illustrated in B.
