Setting: 14K Yellow and White Gold
Main Gemstone: Genuine Blue Sapphire*
Adjacent Gemstone: Genuine, Natural Diamond
Size: US 7
The combination of the yellow and white gold, with the mixed setting styles and diamond cuts, opens this ring up for major "girl talk"!
This is a 14 karat yellow and white gold ring with an approximate 2.00 carat oval-cut, prong-set, genuine blue sapphire* and approximately .50 carats total weight round, brilliant- and baguette cut diamonds on the frame and stepped shoulders. The baguette diamonds are framed and separate the flush-set round diamonds on the frame. The shoulders taper to an approximate 2.5mm shank and the ring is a US size 7, See sizing details below. The round diamonds are flush-set and baguette diamonds are prong-set. Admin:33109/13ltl
* The blue sapphire MAY be ENHANCED beyond the usual treatment and enhancement methods. Most (over 90%) rubies and sapphires are treated to improve stabilization, color, or clarity, usually by a high heat application. Enhancement techniques are not uncommon and improve the appearance, giving the consumer a better-looking gemstone for a fraction of the cost. Some techniques are dyeing, diffusion, capping (as in doublets and triplets), or the application of a coloring agent, such as OPTICON (trademark name). It is not an unethical practice, as long as the information is disclosed to the consumer. As an auction house, we may not know which method is used, if any, but if there is a reason to believe a gemstone is enhanced, we strive to provide that detail to our bidders.
