North Carolina. March 9, 1754. Fifteen Shillings. “Knights Armor” vignette. Very Fine.
Fr. NC-78. Only 6,000 notes printed. This boldly printed circulated French and Indian War period note has nice centering and eye appeal and a full clear 1754 date. Other than some light conservation to a couple of corner tip repairs and trivial edge splits, this note clearly has a whole and solid appearance. All four signatures are clearly written in blue and brown ink. Typical period notations located on the blank reverse. This note’s boldly printed text and designs includes the large left indent border and the sharply detailed “Knight’s Head Armor” vignette.
