30. Cody, William F. "Buffalo Bill". Trio of autograph letters signed ("W.F. Cody"), 3 July through 25 November 1896, "Marion, Ind.", "Dubuque, Ia." and "Hot Springs, Wyo." (2) 1-page letters on "Buffalo Bill Wild West" stationery (8.5 x 11 in.; 216 x 279 mm.), all written to "My Dear Foote" - Mr. E.V. Foot of New York City. Content mostly discusses plans for upcoming visits. Includes original transmittal envelopes and (2) printed "Official Route" stating dates of the Wild West Show from 22 June through 25 July 1896. 2-page letter from Hot Springs, Wyoming (written front & back) is mostly separated at horizontal fold; one letter exhibits minor chipping on edge; the other has mild separations at folds. Cody writes in part: Was delighted to receive your letter saying you would join me on a trip to inspect the Canal [Shoshone Project, including Buffalo Bill Dam, during its construction]. Now Foote although I would like to have you as my guest at my house. But if your time is going to be limited, I would prefer you would spend more of it in the Big Horn Basin than in Nebraska as it would be more interesting...Let me hear your decision. Yours - W.F.
