c. 1860 Civil War Era, Federal Snare Drum with Pair of Wooden Sticks and Leather Bandolier, by Hwenry Eiselle, Grand Street, New York, Choice Extremely Fine.
This impressive authentic Civil War Era Snare Drum measures about 16.25” in diameter and 13.5” tall. Deluxe continuos stencil decoration placed around the top and bottom rim bands. Its original maker’s trade label is 100% intact, located inside the drum, which reads: “HENRY EISELE, BASS AND SNARE DRUMS, 209 & 211 GRAND STREET, NEW YORK”. Body of the drum depicts a colorful Federal Heraldic Eagle over an American Flag banner. Complete with its original period skins. A complete set which includes the leather bandolier with hook to support the drum, and metal loops to hold the pair of original drumsticks, also included. An impressive example for any Civil War or military display. (4 items)
