Carnival Glass Marigold Candy Dishes & Creamer
Item/Description: Four pieces of vintage American carnival glass in the popular marigold color, which features a golden-orange iridescent sheen on a clear glass base. This type of pressed glass was an accessible alternative to high-end art glass like Tiffany and was mass-produced by companies such as Imperial Glass, Fenton, and Northwood, with peak production between approximately 1908 and the early 1930s. The items shown are, from left to right: an oval nappy or relish dish; a two-handled bonbon or candy dish; an ornate, ruffled pedestal vase or compote stand; and a small creamer or pitcher, likely in Imperial's "Star and File" pattern.
