Carey Family "Gunsmoke" Memorabilia. a) Signed James Arness Print "To My Old Friend Dobe. Jim" 22" x 17". b) Milburn Stone's ("Doc Adams") hat from "Gunsmoke." Inside is a handwritten note on Harry Carey, Jr. letterhead stating, "This hat was given to me by Jane Stone, widow of actor Milburn Stone aka "Doc" on popular TV western "Gunsmoke". c) Two letters from John Mantley, Executive Producer of "Gunsmoke" thanking Harry Carey, Jr. for his work on episodes of the TV show in 1968 and 1971. c) Letter from Milburn Stone to Irving Townsend regarding Ollie Carey: ". Let me say, first of all, Ollie is a lady and a great one. She is a marvelous conversationalist, entertainer, smart as hell, can hold her own with anyone in any company, under any conditions. There was a time in my life that Ollie gave me great inspiration. Because of the death of my wife I was left with an eleven year old daughter. I was doing a picture with Harry, and Ollie was, of course, ever present. They embraced me the like of which I have never been embraced before or since. It was a sad time for me, but it's impossible to be gloomy or sad around Ollie. ". d) Milburn Stone Business Card featuring "Doc Stone's" office from "Gunsmoke". e) Combo tool monkey wrench, knife, screw driver and bottle opener stamped, "FESTUS - Gunsmoke".
