The lot features a rawhide parfleche lined Indian hide covered beaded large knife sheath from the Northern Cheyenne dating to circa 1930-1950's. The sheath is sinew sewn and shows old glass trade seed beads in a classic hourglass pattern with background of greasy yellow and pattern in cobalt, semi-transparent rose and medium greasy blue. The bottom shows two fully rope beaded long fringes of Indian tanned hide further decorated with four rolled tin jingle dangle cones on the end of each. The center of the sheath shows a row of tin jingle dangle cones as well. The top has fringes with a single solid brass old trade beads and a braided twisted Indian hide belt tie. Measures overall with fringes and tie 24.5-inches long by 4-inches wide.
