Featured in this lot is this Cheyenne Arrow circa 1880's and was housed and interred in the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The arrow shows a wonderfully and professionally crafted wood, metal and turkey feather construction that shows natural red and black ochre painted shaft with sinew wrapping to the fletching of the arrow with a split turkey feather for the fletching the arrow head is a sharpened metal point with rounded shoulders and a sharp point. The arrow comes complete with an original museum tag that reads as follows: Northern Cheyenne Arrow Ca. 1880's. The condition of this Cheyenne arrow is well preserved with the fletching showing loosening with the feathers detaching in areas with some patina to the shaft and oxidation to the arrowhead consistent with age. The measurements of this Cheyenne arrow is 28 3/8" x 1 1/2". The collective weight of this arrow is U4oz.
