This mine was located on the south side of Mineral Creek near Mineral Point. Some native mineral specimens were reported in 1883. The 1883 Colorado Mining Directory said the claim was 300 x 1500 ft. and situated on the south side of Mineral Creek, ¾ of a mile N.W. of Mineral Point, in the Uncompahgre Dist. It was discovered in October 1877 by owners W.D. Laty and J.A. Gilmore. The mine had a vein a fissure from 10 to 30 inches wide, pay streak from 5 to 15 inches, containing galena, chalcocite, and native silver. When sorted 50 oz. silver per ton, developed by two drifts 22 and 40 ft. long [Ref: Corregan and Lingane, Colorado Mining Directory, 1883]. Plain looking stock on white paper with a black mosaic border. No. 306 issued to I. J. D. Bomeker by R. A. Olmstead, Secretary, and Luther H. Buell, President on 28 February 1881. The folds are yellowing on the reverse. A few spots of foxing on the front. No vignette. U/C. Good condition.
