Lot of 3. The Panama Mining and Reduction Company. The Panama Tunnel is a little over one half mile northeast of Lawson, at an elevation of about 8,800 feet. The veins are of silver (native) and polybasite. Several assays averaged 120 ounces of silver [Ref: Bastin and Hill, “Gilpin County and Adjacent Parts of Clear Creek, and Boulder Counties, Colorado,” USGS Prof. Paper 94, 1917]. No. 284 issued to J. L. Manning by Jas. C. Hyde, President and [illegible] Rice, Vice President on 23 December 1885. U/C. White paper with a black border. A small vignette on the bottom between signatures of an eagle with a ribbon in its mouth with the motto “state sovereignty, national union.” Excellent condition.

2. Unadilla Mining Company, Eagle Lode. This company operated a mine on the Eagle Lode and was a major gold producer, according to Carl Swift. No. 3344 issued to Charles H. Roberts by Wm. Whitlock, Secretary and F. A. White, President. Signed by Roberts on the reverse. Not cancelU/Cetty stock, white paper with a black border but has gold lettering as a back drop “shares $1.00 each.” No vignette per se but there is a green eagle as subscript in the center of the stock. Excellent condition.

3. White Cross Copper Company, Hinsdale County. No. 1585 issued to Waters and Birdsall by H. P. Sturgis, Secretary and Thos. H. Eaton, Vice President. Signed by Waters and Birdsall on reverse. U/C. WhitU/Ca blue border. The vignette is a white cross. Excellent condition.
