Group of 3. 1. The Victor Gold Mining Company, Limited, issued number B2805 to bearer of certificate on 5 February 1895 by R. H. Reed, Secretary, and Wm. E. Johnson, President, for ten shares. Also signed by the registrar of the Farmers’ Main & Trust Company. Crème paper with a green border, vignette of miners at rest against an ore cart is under the company name. Some discoloration on the edges. This certificate is in English and in French. Has six coupons attached. The company owned the Victor, which consisted of 10 acres; the Little Joe, made up of 7 acres; the Panther, which was one-half acre; and Victor #2, which was I/5 of an acre, all situated on Bull Hill in the N.W. one-quarter of Sect. 21. All patented. The mine had a capacity of 300 tons per day. Production to January 1, 1900 was 138,542 oz. gold [Refs: Hills, Fred, The Official Manual of the Cripple Creek District, Colorado, 1900; Lindgren, W. and F. 2. The Pythias Gold Mining Company issued number 902 to J. A. Aylward on 6 January 1900 by A. J. Bendle, Ass’t Secretary, and Frank Smith, Vice President 1,000 shares. A plain stock with no vignette on crème paper with a black border. Excellent condition. This company owned the Last Chance, which consisted of 9.6 acres, and the Cornucopia, which consisted of 5.3 acres on Bull Hill in the S. E. one-quarter of section 17. All properties were patented [Ref: Hills, Fred, The Official Manual of the Cripple Creek District, Colorado, 1900].

3. The Spearfish Gold Mining and Reduction Company issued number 294 to W. W. Miller on 31 August 1901 for 967 shares. Company official signatures are illegible. Plain stock on crème paper with a black border and no vignette. Excellent condition.
