This is a signed, soft cover first edition of Memories of Mark Twain and Steve Gillis, by William R. Gillis and published in 1924. Gillis and his brothers Jim and William (author of this piece), had been friends with Twain since his days seeking gold near Sonora. In fact, the cabin up on Jackass Hill in Tuolumne County where Twain first heard the story of the jumping frog was owned by Jim Gillis. This book is 96 pages, has some cover staining, but is in nice shape for its age.
