Lot of 5 billheads, including: 1) Masthead from "Page, Wheaton & Co., Dealers in General Merchandise, Main Street, Bodie." Printed at top of page is (illegible) Wheaton, San Francisco; J.H. Page, Bodie; and N.C. Luhrs, San Francisco. Stamped from Wheaton & Luhrs, Successors to P.W. & Co. Datelined November 29, 1880, and addressed to Messrs. Boone & Wright. Items purchased include 1 keg of nails, and sugar. Upper left hand corner removed, otherwise very fine. 2) "S.W. Moore, Notary Public, Conveyancer and Commissioner of Deeds. Law, Mining & Collection Office, Etc." Datelined Mono Co., Cal. 9th June, 1880. Signed by S.W. Moore, the bill includes "notarial fees" for four individuals, consisting $2.00 each. Foldlines, otherwise very fine. 3) "To J.W. Kingsley, Dr. City Livery and Feed Stable, Nos. 16 and 18 Main Street, Bodie, California." Datelined Bodie, Sep 1, 1882. Bill for $43.50, "To Feed the Democratic County Central Committee. Bill per order," dated Aug. 13. Foldlines, with several tears noted along top edge, otherwise fine. 4) "Bought of N.J. Salisbury, Manufacturer of and Dealer in Boots and Shoes, No. 120 Main Street, Near Grand Central Hotel." On upper left is printed "Agent for Banister & Tichenor's Celebrated Newark, N.J., Boots and Shoes. A fine Assortment on Hand. WM. M. Barnes, Printer, Bodie." Datelined Bodie, Cal. Jan, 1883. Charges for $13.50, "Recd Payment, NJ Salisbury" hand-written in pencil at bottom of sheet. Slight stain noted along central top edge. 5) "Office of N.S. Warren, City Market. Miner PR, Mono County." Datelined Bodie, Cal., Nov. 16th, 1886. Addressed to Bullion & Exchange Bank and signed by N.S. Warren, the note confirms an enclosed check for $963.79 drawn from the Anglo (illegible) Bank. Foldlines, with one 1/2" tear at center left.
