Lot of 3 Bodie related photographs. First is a photo of the Bodie Methodist Church. Contrast is good and focus is sharp. Photo measures, 10” x 8” and framed measures 14 ½”x 13”. Photo is mounted on a brown matte and placed in a light wood frame. Writing on the back reads it was taken in “1972, Thomas Johnston, Mammoth Lakes, California.” The photo shows the small wooded church from the street. In the background other wooden buildings lay in ruin and abandonment. Second framed item is an advertisement for the Aurora and Bodie U.S. Stage Co. Item measures 8 ½” x 5” and framed measures 14”x 11”. Mounted in grey matte with border that reads “Bodie 1879” and has the image of a stagecoach below. Placed in light wood frame. Document has very little wear, with only a few tears on the top side. Frame has small marks on the top and left sides. Slight marks on the back of the frame. The document tells of stagecoaches that would take a traveler from San Francisco to Aurora or Bodie with lines connecting through Carson City, NV. Third framed item is a photograph of the inside of the Bodie Hotel. Contrast is good and focus is sharp. Color photograph measures 13”x 10 ½” mounted and framed measures 21”x 17”. Placed on white matte. Radanovich is identified as the photographer. Slight wear on the frame. The photograph shows the inside of the hotel. A sign on the wall reads “Bodie hotel Meals at all hours.” A typewriter lies on a dusty table and the office chair is in need of repair. A safe and piece of luggage sit on opposite sides of the photograph, dusty and forgotten.
