This lot gives you the chance to bid on a floral beaded warriors outfit from the Buffalo Bill Wild West show series of the late 1800's and early 1900's. Buffalo Bills Wild West (show) ran from 1883 to 1913 when the show declared bankruptcy. The show was not the first of its kind, but is known as the most famous by far, comprised of Buffalo Bill and his many compatriots, including; Sitting Bull, "Wild Bill" Hickok, Annie Oakley and her husband Frank Butler, Pawnee Bill, and many more! The show was internationally acclaimed, and was viewed by nobles such as Queen Victoria, King Edward VII, Kaiser Wilhelm II, King George V, and Pope Leo XIII. The show drew such acclaim through magnificent content of the American West, in which so many people were curious - Showcasing staged hunts of Western game, horse races, battle reenactments, and sharp shooter expositions. This outfit would have likely been worn by a man reenacting the American Indian Wars, and shows beautiful pony trade beads in multiple colors. The outfit is crafted of white linen cloth, and is adorned with short cut hide fringe down the seams of the shirt, belt, and pants. The floral trade beads include; clear, Cheyenne pink, greasy yellow, greasy transparent yellow, semi-transparent red/white heart, light blue, dark blue, light green, and dark green pony beads. The outfit comes from a prominent Oklahoma collection, and is attributed to the Buffalo Bills Wild West by the consigner, though no documentation is included. The outfit shows good original condition, with no apparent bead loss, but some loss of fringe. The outfit would appear to be a men's medium-large. The shirt measures 31 1/2" from the seam of the neck, to the waist, 21" across the chest, underneath each armpit, and 23 1/2" from the shoulder seam to the tip of the wrist. The pants measure 15 1/2" across the waist, and have a 26 3/4" inseam.
