Stafford (1917-2008) was a singer with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra as a member of the Pied Pipers, as well as soloist. She had a number one hit in 1952 with "You Belong to Me." Frances Langford (1913-2005), was dubbed "The GI Nightingale" and toured extensively with Bob Hope during WWII. In the 1960's she hosted her own television show. Both signatures are clear, Stafford's is on a first day cover commemorating Comte de Frontenac, one-time French governor of the Great Lakes region. Both signatures are clear.
