For your consideration is this Art Nouveau Ruffed Grouse Stained Glass Window. Art Nouveau is an international style of art, architecture and applied art, especially the decorative arts. It was most popular between 1890 and 1910. A reaction to the academic art of the 19th century, it was inspired by natural forms and structures, particularly the curved lines of plants and flowers. This stained glass window shows a hill side, picturesque in presentation showing a ruffed grouse. This stained glass window comes by way of the ruffled grouse society. There is an identifying sticker on the frame in the bottom right hand corner of the frame with the Society's logo and name stated. The ruffed grouse is a medium-sized grouse occurring in forests from the Appalachian Mountains across Canada to Alaska. It is non-migratory. It is the only species in the genus Bonasa. The ruffed grouse is the state bird of Pennsylvania, United States. The measurements of this stained glass window are 44 1/2" x 56". This is an original work of art from the late 20th to early 21st century.
