1955 A black corporation record book used by the above company that contains the articles of incorporation, by-laws, stock certificate #147 (issued to Roger C. Long, a Director, for 18,000 shares on August 12, 1955), and the personal copy of the Articles of Incorporation issued to Lillian Lane, one of the founders of the company. Other founding members were David Goldwater, director and President, Minnie Lane, Director and Vice President, and the aforementioned Lillian Lane, Director and Secretary-Treasurer. There are no stockholder minutes, payments, or dividends noted. The company was incorporated May 9, 1955 in Las Vegas, NV expressly to “…do business in Arizona as a foreign corporation, the acquisition of mining claims and services in exchange for the common capital stock of the corporation….” It appears the company was sold immediately, as the above officers tendered their resignations on the same day. Yet the company carried on, as evidenced by the issued stock certificate in August of 1955. David Goldwater does not appear to be related to Arizona’s famed conservative senator and presidential candidate Barry Goldwater. - HKA#65127
