Featured in this lot is this superb etching called "The Attack," by Frederic Remington born in 1861 and died in 1909 printed after death. Frederic Remington is conserved on of the greatest Western artist in history whose original works have commanded in excess of $800,000 to $1,000,000 at auction. The etching shows a roaming band of Native American warriors sprinting over the plains in an attack charge all riding bareback with quirts and rifles in hand. The etching is marked in the top left, and bottom corners as follows: Published by T.S. Hughes-Chicago - The Attack, After Frederic Remington 6/100 - (unreadable signature). The condition of this etching is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this framed etching is 20 1/4" x 24 1/2" and the visible artwork measures 13 1/8" x 18 1/8". The collective weight of this framed etching is 5lb 10oz.
