Lot of 2. 1.) Consolidated Arizona Mines Stock. 1925, Arizona. Cert No. 849 for 2500 shares issued to M.J.Bass in 1927. Green border and seal. Mines: 70 claims in Yuma County, 16 miles south of Salome. Ore occurs as copper sulfide, with some silver, along a contact between quartzite and porphyry. Shaft started in 1927 was being sunk to 600’ in 1929. The ore occurs as gold-bearing copper sulfides. The company has another group of 34 claims in Yuma County, 8 miles south of Bouse. Good. 2.) Fortuna Mines Corporation Stock. Incorporated in California, 1913. Cert No. B3470 for 100 shares issued to W.H. Buss in 1916. Signed by B.A.Maskey, secretary and H.S.Williams, Vice-President. Mines: Arizona, The Fortuna Mine, 15 miles south Blaisdell, and 22 miles southeast of Yuma. This certificate represents a reworking of the famous Fortuna Mine which was worked back in 1896 and produced about $3,000,000 in gold. The town of Blaisdell was an important Wells-Fargo station. Both Blaisell and Fortuna have long since disappeared, and the mine shafts have caved in. Ink Signature on the back slightly striking through on front, otherwise very good.
