Session D is a Mail-Bid Only Auction. Absentee bids will be accepted only. No live bidding will be allowed. All winners will be contacted after the auction. BIDDING ENDS MONDAY JUNE 27 AT 5PM PACIFIC TIME!!!
Lot of 8 silver specimens from various mining districts within Arizona. Samples range from 1 to 3 inches in diameter with districts and mines including the Hualapi-Globe district, the 300 ft. Level of the Grand Central Mine in Tombstone, the Silver King Mine in Glone, the Poland Mine near Prescoct, and one from an unknown locale. Ore minerals include cerargyrite, argentite, pyrargyrite, polybasite, galena, sphalerite, and bornite. Most samples are massive and typical of the ores mined from these localities, though several show well developed and aesthetically pleasing crystal growth. Of noteable intrest in the supergenee argentite-cerargyrite from the Hualapi-Globe district, as this material was the first to be mined and was not commonly preserved.
