ANCIENT: LOT of 44 coins and a gold ring from Ancient India and elsewhere, including India: 5 punchmark silvers, 4 Indo-Greek coins (including Menander I AR drachm Bop-3), 5 Indo-Scythian coins (3 Azes-type tetradrachms & 2 drachms), 5 Kushan coppers (including a nice Kanishka tetradrachm with choice Vado reverse), and a few pieces of Western Satraps, Shahi kings and others; Islamic: Arab-Sasanian drachm Abdullah b. al-Zubayr (chipped), Umayyad Fals (similar to examples from al-Andalus), 3 AR square dirhams (Almohad and Christian imitation), several other pieces (including Artuqid AR dirham Mardin AH644); plus 5 Crusader, Cilician Armenian, Polish coins, and an intricately made ancient gold ring (0.50g) attributed by the consignor to the Nabataeans; average circulated conditions, the majority worn but with quite a few nicer examples, most identified in accompanying holders; retail value $650, lot of 45 pieces.
