A beaded jacket with Buffalo Bill Cody and Cody, Wyoming history. Most likely purchased at the famous Cody saddlery and clothing store, “Dave Jones". This jacket was obtained from the Snyder family of Cody, who stated that it was a gift from their neighbor and friend, W.F. Cody to Simon Snyder of Valley, Wyoming. The Snyder family homesteaded on the South Fork, close to Cody’s TE Ranch. Jacket is of high quality throughout, braided domed leather buttons, pearl concho accents, fringe, and beaded floral designs. Excellent condition, with some wear marks and sun fading on the back. Coat is 30” tall overall, 18” across shoulders, 23” long sleeves, approx 38” waist.

Exhibited: Buffalo Bill Center of the West (Buffalo Bill Historical Center at the time of exhibition).
