34pc El Templario and Alymer Colonial Soldiers and Cavalry
A diverse group of thirty-four hand-painted metal toy soldiers, including seven mounted cavalry figures by El Templario and a variety of foot soldiers attributed to both El Templario and Alymer. The cavalry figures are outfitted in khaki uniforms with pith helmets and red and white pennants, mounted on dark and gray horses, bearing the distinct sculptural and painted style typical of El Templario. The accompanying infantry features a mix of marching, advancing, and firing poses, including African colonial troops in dark blue tunics, light trousers, and white cross-belts, some with tan sun helmets and others with red fezzes. Notable among the group is a flagbearer and a bugler, as well as a few prone or kneeling figures. Uniform styles and facial details vary subtly, suggesting a combination of Alymer and El Templario manufacture.
