A fine duo of early 20th-century Royal Doulton stoneware whisky jugs, both produced for Dewar's Whisky. Each features a detailed hand-painted scene in rich brown glaze. One depicts The Pipe Major, showing a Scottish highlander in full regalia, complete with kilt and bagpipes, inscribed "The Pipe Major" below. The other depicts Mr. Pickwick, showing a cheerful street figure leaning against a wall beneath a window. Both pieces bear the Royal Doulton backstamp to the underside, with the Dewar's Whisky mark.
