For your bidding pleasure are these 19th C Sioux Native American Parfleche Bone Awls. This lot shows practical and sturdy harness saddle leather case sewn together with sinew and two Parfleche and bone awls. An awl is a long, pointed spike tool fir marking holes in wood for marking wood, and piercing holes in leather, among other various tasks. Each awl and case has a museum collection tag from largest to smallest stating: 'BC-55' and on the other side 'B-1059' and the other awl and case 'AC-55' on one side and on the other 'B-519'. The overall measurements of these two awls are 8" long and 6" long.
