Item/Description: Antique French boulle-style marquetry box used for storing game pieces, jewelry, or inkwells. Elaborately designed with brass inlay, fittings, handle, and ornate feet.

The boulle style is named after André-Charles Boulle (French, 1642-1732), a prominent cabinetmaker to King Louis XIV of France (1638-1715). He became renowned for his marquetry and inlay techniques.

Condition: Signs of age and wear include peeling brass inlay, cracks, and chips. Missing some original game box set pieces.
