For your bidding pleasure is this collection of 19th C Flathead American Indian Carved Horn Spoons. The Bitterroot Salish (or Flathead, Salish, Selish) are a Salish-speaking group of Native Americans, and one of three tribes of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Nation in Montana. This collection shows carved horn presumably elk and deer tines showing the natural grain and the strokes from the carving utensil used to construct these authentic works of practical beauty. These spoons date from 19th Century to early 1900's. The measurements range from 9 1/2" x 2 1/2" to 4 3/4" x 1".
