The American bison, also commonly known as the American buffalo or simply buffalo, is a North American species of bison that once roamed the grasslands of North America in massive herds. The Buffalo is culturally considered at the heart of all things “Western” or “West”. The condition of this buffalo hide is pristine with no obvious signs of damage and in good overall condition with great preservation to the hide and double felt backing. The measurements of this buffalo hide are 93" x 86". Provenance: The Buffalo was taken in 1998 by a Park Ranger from Yellowstone and the whole buffalo was given to the Hold Hill Lutheran Church; and the meat was donated to the Food Panty to feed the hungry people of Butte.
