Struck at the San Francisco Mint in 1987, this Uncirculated Silver Dollar was issued to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution, celebrating the enduring principles that shaped the nation's foundation. The obverse features a finely rendered quill pen over a sheaf of parchment inscribed with the opening words "We the People," accompanied by the inscriptions THE U.S. CONSTITUTION 200th ANNIVERSARY, LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the year 1987. The reverse design depicts a diverse assembly of Americans standing together, bordered by the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and DOLLAR. Bearing the "S" mintmark of the San Francisco Mint. Presented in a protective capsule and housed in its original U.S. Mint display case. This item has its original box.
