For your consideration is this Ren Ellis suede and leather fringe jacket from his Renegade line circa 1980-1990s. In the 1980s and 1990s, Ren Ellis, a fashion designer, became well-known for his suede jacket designs. His jackets were renowned for their distinctive designs, superior construction, and meticulous attention to detail. Ellis, who had his headquarters in New York City, became known for his edgy and rebellious designs. He frequently used striking hues and materials, including suede, leather, and fur, to make jackets that were both stylish and practical. Celebrities and musicians flocked to his designs, and he developed a cult following in the fashion world for his innovative approach to outerwear. This jacket shows a beautifully crafted tan suede construction with rawhide fringe throughout the entire jacket. The neck of the jacket features geometric patterns made of trade beads showing colors of green, red, blue, tan and silver. The front of the jacket shows metal concho buttons and bone beads lining each side of the jacket. The sleeves feature the same bone beads and metal conchos towards the end of the sleeves. The interior of the jacket is lined with satin and and shows the blue, red, white and black tag for Ren Ellis reading, "Renegade By Ren Ellis" in black lettering. The jacket shows good condition for its age with little signs of wear and no obvious signs of damage present. The jacket measures 24 " L from top to bottom and 17 1/2" W from shoulder to shoulder. The sleeves measure 23 3/4" L x 5" W. There is no size tag.
