<B>1957 Roy Campanella, Casey Stengel & Leo Durocher Signed Baseball.</B></I> Just two months before the tragic automobile accident that would end the Hall of Fame career of the Brooklyn Dodgers' superstar catcher, Campy joined Big League managers Casey Stengel, Leo Durocher and Fred Haney on the television variety show "Texaco Command Appearance." This ONL (Giles) baseball was presented to this impressive panel of diamond talent for signing, then skillfully notated with the details of this superstar summit. A fair degree of surface wear and toning has had some effect over the passing half century, with Campanella, Durocher and Haney rating a 7/10 as a result, and Stengel perhaps a point or two below. Still an impressive and historic piece, and likely one of the last baseballs signed by Campanella before that fateful January 1958 night. <I>LOA from PSA/DNA.
